INFORMATION
General description
The yellow-naped parrot is distinguished by its green forehead and crown and a yellow band on the lower nape.
When they are young it is difficult to distinguish any of these yellow-marked parrots.
The yellow markings develop as they age over a period of about four years.
The bill is grayish, and is paler towards the base of the upper mandible.
His legs are also gray.
It has round wings and a short, square tail.
Yellow-naped parrots are cavity-nesting birds in their wild habitat and have a life expectancy of 50 to 60 years or more.
Habitat
Inhabits dry or evergreen gallery forests, Lives in warm climates, mainly hot climate with long dry season.
Diet
It feeds on nuts, berries, seeds and fruits.
